Working is often something that will mean that you have less time with your family and in particular, your children. If you are looking to become a work at home mom, then you will probably want to be spending a lot more time with your children as well as have a lot more flexibility when it comes to your working hours. If this is the case however, there will still be a certain amount of work to do meaning that you will still have to spend a little less time with your family. But what if you could actually involve your children in your work?
Although it might sound crazy, there are a lot of jobs that will actually mean that you can involve your children. For example, if you decided to start a small work at home business in which you made things like homemade cakes, you would easily be able to involve your children in your work. Children love to create things and there are many other businesses as well as a homemade cake business that you could get involved in.
Businesses that you could opt for include things like making homemade gifts and hampers etc. Children will often be able to help you to do parts of this if they are of a certain age and the best part about it is that it will actually make your life easier as you will not have quite as much work to do on your own.
Of course, you need to make sure that having your children involved in your work will not slow you down too much as you need to make sure that the task gets achieved. It should be something to take into account if you’re looking to spend more time with your children.

Becoming a franchisee will allow you to become part of a well known and established brand which will in turn allow you to have an easier time getting your business off the ground. There are a lot of franchises out there these days, many of which will allow you to work from home and have more time to spend with your family whilst also getting a good return on your investment. We have covered many of these franchises on the website before but if you are looking to join any other franchise, there are some things you need to make sure to look out for.
One of the things that you should look out for when joining a franchise is that it is actually worth it. There are a lot of franchises out there that are basically charging you for a brand name and will also charge you monthly for this. However, some of these brand names are not well known or respected enough to give you enough benefit for your money. Brand names such as McDonald’s are obviously well known and worth joining however, on a smaller scale, a brand name such as ‘John’s Cleaning Services’ might not be so well known or worth it for you.
Another thing that you should be aware of is whether or not you are actually interested in the franchise enough. You should never choose a franchise that doesn’t interest you just because you think it will allow you to have a good work from home life. You should also make sure that the required training is up to scratch and that you are actually prepared to put enough time into it to make it work.
Remember, a franchise is not a readymade business and still requires work.

There are a lot of different things that make money in this country and there are many different skills and services that are worth a lot. However, you might not have any of these skills or services to sell yourself but the great thing is that you can still make money from them. You can actually start up a company these days that outsources much of its work to another company in this country or even people in another country. The great thing about outsourcing is that you will simply have to find the work and then get someone else to do it for you and make a nice healthy profit.
Most outsourcing companies will outsource to less wealthy countries such as India or China as there are many people in these countries with great skills that are able to work for much less than people are able to work for in this country. There are some common businesses when it comes to outsourcing such as Website design, SEO services and Design services. These are things that are all able to be done by anyone in the world, no matter what language they speak, and that have a good market in the UK and America.
Outsourcing will involve you knowing a little about your company’s area of course as you will more than likely have to meet with clients in your own country and discuss what they need. Once you have done this, you will then outsource to another country or company which charges less for the services. You will then make profit on the difference in price. Outsourcing is extremely common for many companies but we suggest you read up on it before going ahead with the idea.

The great thing about this is that it is free and there are tonnes of resources online to help you to market your business effectively through these websites.
Another way of marketing your business for a relatively low cost is through online advertising. There are mediums such as Googles Adwords program and the Facebook adverts program that allow you to market your business to a specific audience for a relatively low cost. Ideally, you would have a website as well if you are taking this option but Facebook doesn’t require this. The great thing about this is that you can target specific people that will be interested in what you are doing meaning that it is a great way to advertise and use your budget.

In a previous post, we spoke a little about some of the alternatives that are out there when looking to buy and sell on the internet. This is a great way of making money from home but the problem is that EBay, the world’s largest and most well known online auction website, charges extremely high fee’s and can often really dig into your profit. Luckily, there are even more alternatives out there for you.
One of the other alternatives that you have is Amazon. Amazon is an extremely well known online retailer and they have millions of people all around the world selling products through their website and some even manage to make a full time income off it. Just like EBay, Amazon will take a cut of the final fee and will charge you to list the device but the marketplace is generally a little better than EBay in the sense that people are willing to pay more for a product. Amazon has their own payment processor that will be included in the fee’s however so you won’t have to pay extra fee’s to PayPal and whatnot.
Another alternative that is often forgotten is Gumtree. This is a website that will allow you to post adverts for anything you have for sale basically. The great thing about this site is that there is no cost for listing an item at all and no costs if it sells. The only thing you need to be aware of with Gumtree is that if you are collecting items from people, you need to stay safe and make sure they are a trusted member of the website. The ironic thing is that Gumtree is now often by EBay but luckily, it still remains free.

Buying and selling products is the process that most businesses will adhere to as this is the main concept of any business. It doesn’t matter what you are selling, the chances are that you will be buying something and selling it and possibly providing a service somewhere in there too. It doesn’t matter whether you are running a car boot sale or your own store, buying and selling is a way to make money. If you are selling online however, you might think that there are only a few places to do this such as Amazon and EBay but the fact is that there are lots of alternatives.
One alternative that people often forget about is Play.com. This website sells thousands of different products and they have millions of visitors every year. This means that Play.com is a great marketplace for you to sell anything you like, whether it is new or used. They will also take a small amount of commission like Amazon and EBay do but in many cases, it isn’t as much.
Another alternative to EBay is the eBid website. This is a website that works on the same online auction system as EBay but one of the main differences is that you will not be charged a penny to list your items. Of course, there isn’t anywhere near the amount of traffic that EBay gets on this website, but you have nothing to lose as you only pay fee’s when your item sells. As well as this, you get more free images for your listing than on EBay and you can accept a range of different payment options.
Selling on places other than EBay will allow you to lower your costs of your business and make much more of a margin.
