As a mom, you probably often worry about the health of your children. I am sure that there has been many nights that you have stayed awake with a sick child and hoping by the morning that they will be better. A sick child can make even the most experienced mother worry. I can only imagine what it was like to live during a time that they did not have the vaccines that are available today.
Today, there are so many vaccines available that we often do not have to worry about our children dying from what used to be a common sickness. A well child check-up is one of the best things that you can do for your child. These appointments are the only way that you can make sure that your child is growing at a normal pace. It will also be a time when you can approach the doctor about things that may concern you; things that may seem out of the ordinary.
Keeping your child up to date on the immunizations is one of the most important things that you can do for your child. Many states require that your children have current immunizations in order for your child to attend school. Once your children attend school they are exposed to so many different illnesses that if they are not immunized they can get very sick. Vaccines may not protect against all illnesses, but they are the best protection that you can give your child.

If you are a mom, then you know how a newborn can really control your entire life whether it is just a trip to the store or a family vacation. You have to plan around their nap times and feeding especially if you are going to breastfeed. It can be difficult to really get anything done. So many times you hear that your baby can not be spoiled if you hold them all the time, that may be true, but I think that they really get used to it and count on most of the time.
A newborn takes a lot of care and a great deal of patience. I know that a lot of mom soften find themselves overwhelmed by the end of the first or second week. This is okay because we all know that babies are a handful. It takes a great deal of time to adjust to their schedules. It seems that they are always crying and needing something. This makes it hard to find time to get anything else done.
Babies sometimes will cry for no reason at all. They are babies this is what they do. It is okay to place them in a safe spot and let them cry for a little while as long as you have met their needs. If they do not have a wet or dirty diaper, and don’t need to be fed, then you are not hurting anything. Sometimes you may need to lay them down in order to regroup and calm down. This is the best thing that you can do for you and your baby.

I know that moms are some of the hardest working people. They are often times doing jobs that nobody else really wants to do. Many days you may not even hear a please or thank you. I know that during these times you just want to give up and say do it yourself. I know that I have these kinds of days, but I also if I don’t do it, then it will not ever get done.
One of the things I hate doing the most is the laundry. I have never liked doing laundry even as a child. It is a job that will never end. I cannot stand these kinds of jobs. They make me want to hire a maid. If I had the money, then I most likely would. But I don’t have that kind of money, so I have come up with a plan to make it easier for me.
The plan is made up of five different days. Each day I do a load of laundry for one person. I have assigned days to each person in my family. On that day I will wash and dry their clothes, but they will be the ones to put them up. This takes a lot of stress off of my day. It is easier to wash and dry, than it is to do all three things especially when you have small children to take care. This helps everyone see that a mom does a lot around the house and will make them appreciate how hard it is to do a good job.

The state of the economy is really hurting the working class families. This means that fewer families will take a summer vacation this year. So what do you do with your kids for fun while you are forced to enjoy your summer locally? There are some really great and affordable options that every child will enjoy.
Some really great options for spending time with your kids this summer is to check into local organizations. Many cities have free activities for you and your children at the local community centers. They usually allow children the opportunity to take an art class, or some kind of craft class. These activities are great for school aged children because they will be able to possibly interact with kids from their school.
Another option is to check out your local library. Libraries usually offer some kind of reading program during the summer. These programs often come with rewards from reading a certain amount of minutes each week. This gives kids a goal to set and to strive to reach it throughout the week. Young children who cannot read would enjoy the story times that most libraries offer once a week.
One more option is to call the local police or fire department to see if they will give your family a tour. This is a really fun for young children who might be interested in police officers. Many police departments offer scheduled tours. You must call in advance to set up an appointment to ensure that someone will be available.

I know that being a mom of three children myself, I know that finding quiet time is not an easy task. I also know that being a mom of three children, it is a necessity. If you do not find quiet time for yourself, then you are very likely to lose it all. By this I mean, you may end up finding yourself crying in the middle of the store because you forgot what you went there in the first place. You may think that this sounds funny, but trust me; I have been there many times before. If you are a first time parent, then you will want to make time for yourself a couple times a week.
When I say that you need to take some time every week to yourself, I am not saying that you have to spend hours away from your family. What I mean is take a few minutes to focus on you. Fifteen minutes can do wonders for a mind that is having a meltdown. If you can get away from the house for one evening a week, then that is even better for you. It will give you chance to relax and do some things that you have let go because you have been focused on your family. Remember, quiet time does not have to be long for it to make you feel refreshed and revived and ready for the next day.
I only have one warning for all who make time for just you. Do not let yourself feel guilty. You work hard all day long to take care of your family. A few minutes, of needed time alone, are not selfish. Quiet time is a tool used to stay sane in the crazy world of parenting. I use it several times a week, the more children you have, the more quiet time you need.

help in finding some tools that help you with a writing career. Two products
will help everyone are the Fly Fusion Pentop and the Read Please Proofreader. Both
of these products make things easier for the work at home moms who write.
The Read
Please Proofreader (http://www.readplease.com)
is an amazing software program that is free to use for thirty days before you
have to buy it. After the free trial period, the cost is affordable for a
fantastic program. The idea behind the reader is that it reads your article
word for word while a curser moves to every word. This will help you check your
work more efficiently for mistakes. I use this amazing program for every article.
I now have confidence that all my articles are checked properly.
The other
tool for work at home moms is the Fly Fusion Pentop (http://www.flyworld.com).
If you are tired of being tied to a desktop or laptop computer, you can use the
Fusion Pen to write your words on a special Fusion paper and transfer the words
to your computer by way of the USB port into a word document. Now this amazing
little gadget frees you from the computer. Go anywhere you want and when the
words come to you, write them down so you do not lose the thought.
Sit on
the couch with the kids, watch TV and use your Fly Fusion Pentop to write your
article. After the article is done, just transfer it your computer on your own
time. This pen works great for work at home moms who write as well as children
in school and business executives. It is a little pricy, but well worth it if
it gets you away from the computer for whatever reason.
